How old do you need to be?
To become an HGV driver you must be at least 18 years old and have a current driving licence.
What are the training requirements?
The HGV industry is regulated by the government to ensure safety standards are maintained.
You will need to :
Apply for a provisional HGV/PCV license
Pass a medical examination
Pass a theory and hazardous perception test parts
Pass the practical driving test
Pass a theory case study and CPC practical test
